update,
After finding a Williams arb for cheap, even though it’s sacrilege… I’ve chopped 20mm off each side and bent the ends so it matches the gtt arb I’ve got.

Also had to modify the power flex Williams bushes to match those for a gtt as they’re slightly different. The outside diameter is the same on the outside bushes but they don’t have the groove that sits inside the gtt arms. I didn’t take any pictures of the inner bushes but it seems that the Williams items are slightly thicker which I’ve took back to match the gtt inner bushes.

Here’s the slot I’ve cut into the outer bush:

After fitting there was a massive difference. Even though there’s only 2mm difference in thickness between the gtt and Williams arb, I think shortening the arb has increased its torsional strength and the 5 is definitely more stable under heavy braking. The rear wheels no longer feel like they’re lifting off the floor when going into corners. I’ll remove the arb at a later date to paint it as this was only a trial and error. However this hasn’t sorted the wheel spin out of corners. A Mate of mine came across a Clio cup car that was for sale and came with loads of spares. I had to buy the Grp N torsion bars off him which had never been fitted!!

These are the 23.2mm torsion bars and they have stopped majority off the wheel spin out of corners and they still feel comfortable and not crashy which I thought they might have done. The car is now feeling great and getting closer for a track day!!!
Another purchase this month was some AR-1’s. Not really a nankang fan but heard loads of good reviews about them. Ktec was selling these at £104 each.

And to compliment track tyres:

More updates soon.
