Twingo Adey's Twingo GT (F4R+T 2.0ltr engine swap)

I have had an annoying rattle and blow from the exhaust for quite a while thats been getting worse recently, i have been kicking the crap out of it mind. So i took a look and traced it to the tip of the exhaust. I could see it was a little corroded to start with but on closer inspection it has an actual baffle in it that had filled with rotten metal, the pipe and welds had cracked and had separated from itself. Ripped it off for now and will probably just replace it with a straight bit of pipe to make it exit under the bumper rather than behind it

So ive been having issues with the supplier of my coilover and their camber adjustment. In the end they offered a refund for return of the coilovers. I cba to do that as the car would be out of action so ive "adjusted" them to suit. Pissed me off but its done now.

Also my bigger "bolt on" turbo isnt going to work so ill keep looking but a hybrid might be the way forward. Downpipe still isnt here either. 20190323_095208.webp

The more i think about it the more tempted i am to make one up. I made one previously t2 to subaru td04 so not sure why im flapping tbh. Could do with a spare manifold to mock up with, though if the oem rear turbo housing can be machined to accept the bigger turbos core and comp that would be a real winner. Fast spool but a decent upgrade in flow.

16s gone and 15s fitted. AND a huge saving in weight. Car feels odd to drive to be honest, i need to re adjust to it as it feels light on the steering wheel. My old scales show a near 6kg saving per corner! No wonder the 15s bend easy... Dont look as good but lighter with a better selection of tires is why ive swapped out.

Some skinny but tall 15s or 16s i think. My rs133 wheel span out of corners alot but i felt that was the fault of the 17s and low profile tires with no flex. I guess it makes it feel fun and powerful? but loved it loads more on 15s tbh. They were oz f1s too actually.

Weird! Did you have ditchfinders on it? Mine never seemed to wheelspin at all!

WOW the stock rear housing for the turbo is tiny! i dont even know how it produced the power it does! Ive put it (a td02) next to a standard r5 gtt t2 and the tf035 (small td04) for compassion.

also i think i could get the tf035 on to the stock manifold without an adapter plate. Just a little PMT magic should do it.

Its not how big it is, its what you do with it that counts.

Modern speakers are the same. No need for huge great enclosures these days
