Thanks guys. A relatively cheap outlay for the materials and a heck of a result.
Engine parts have since arrived, a combination of OE & aftermarket. Will post a list later.
I only didn't opt for ACL race bearings for the crank and pistons as they have notches that need removing and initial power expectations wont be high enough to warrant these yet.
Plodding along..

Keeping myself busy tinkering away, learning to find the reasons that I came to love cars to begin with.
They say dont pursue a career in something you love. Because the fact of the matter is after doing a day's work in the workshop Its really quite tricky finding the motivation to really chip away at this. Maybe im being too hard on myself? Anywho.. a couple of months in and things are coming back together now which is nice to see. But I know I still have so many hurdles to overcome yet.
Whilst I have the skills and knowledge I do I am still heading into the unknown. I will try my best to contact anyone who's built one with the meg 6 speed to get some advice and pointers.

Parts have been ordered ready to assemble to cylinder head. Hopefully they should arrive in the coming weeks and that really doesnt leave much as far as the engine is concerned..
