The cage is due 7th to 8th December, I will hopefully get that fitted before Christmas.

My FD engine is supposedly due back this week so that may take priority.

I picked up a few cans of 495 paint code so I can do the floor, going to rub down and remove any little bits of surface rust, hopefully this will make it somewhat neater.

Get a nice light coat of lacquer to. Or it'll rub off with the lightest of friction from the carpet.

Bit of a tidy up, removed the seat belts as they won’t be needed, put a bit of paint over the welding patches and gave it a good hoover all in preparation for the cage arriving this week.

Once the cage is in I’ll purchase some seats and harnesses. The carpet has come out pretty good, I’ll give it one last blast with a coarse brush and the carpet cleaner tomorrow.

@Mark_L is going to fit cage for me, hopefully we can aim for Feb, until then I’ll get the RX7 sorted and try and put some miles on.

Car booked in with Mark to have cage and seat mounts fitted, will be on a mission to get it road legal and tuned for the summer.

Paid a quick visit to Mark last night, he’s making good progress with the cage. We were just mocking the seats up and luckily he has some sliding seat rails going spare so hopefully he can incorporate those.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not but I get the impression he’d much rather be making his own. Not sure he’s too impressed !

It Actually fits ok, and I’ve seen some real horrible cages from safety devices.

I’m guessing it’s more down to Mark fish than safety devices.
