My 2002 Renault Clio V6 Phase 1 For Sale. The time has come!

For sale is my pride and joy, 2002 Ph 1 Renault Clio V6. This has been my most enjoyable car to own since I purchased it in 2012. I bought it with 54k miles on the clock and in the 8 years I have owned it I have put another 12k miles on it so it now sits at 66k. I am the 5th and longest owner of this very special car. I have been very fortunate to always be able to store it in a warm, damp free environment and it has always been used in the summer months.
It was more or less standard apart from some ph 2 18” wheels and a couple of other small accessories when I purchased it but since then I have acquired over £30k of receipts for parts/work/servicing (see pics). It is an absolute dream to drive. It is always a special car to be in and by far the most pure driving experience I have ever had. I still have all of the standard parts in storage for the car and these will be included in the sale if the owner would like at no extra cost.
The car will come with a fresh MOT and come with it’s original registration plate which is HK02 XOS. Service history available with all other documents including MOTS, logbook etc.

Work done:

Brakes and Suspension
• ATE Super Blue High Temperature Brake Fluid
• Front KTR Clio V6 2-Piece Grooved Discs and Rotors 330mm dia. Brembo 4 pot front calipers with all new seals fitted/pressure tested and then professionally painted silver with new decals. 2 different types of pads included. Different options of used mintex 1155’s and mintex F-type brake pads supplied by Questmead. Fully bedded in as per procedure prior to using.
• Rear 300mm dia brake discs kept standard but replaced for new in last 3k miles. Calipers replaced with new and then professionally painted silver. Mintex 1144 brake pads fitted, supplied by Questmead. Fully bedded in as per procedure prior to using.
• Full Leda coilovers installed by Mark Fish Motorsport with custom spring rates. This was one of the last sets in the country for sale to our knowledge at the time and are well known as being by far the best set up on the car so I snapped Mark’s hand off. I changed spring rates in the rear a couple of times to change the balance of the car so I will throw in all the sets I have got. Car fully set up with ride height, increased neg front and rear cambers, fast road/track alignment and steering wheel centre point adjustments carried out. Complete corner weight set up carried out at end with a representative weight in the car to reflect driver. Front lower wishbones and bottom ball joints replaced for new at the same time to eliminate any play.

Engine & Transmission
• Engine oil/filter and coolant changed every 1-2k miles. Receipts for all parts.
• KTEC supply and install of KTR full Clio V6 exhaust system (incl manifolds and all the way back), decatted and fully heatshield exhaust wrapped.
• Rear subframe removed by KTEC, shotblasted and powder coated silver while exhaust work was being completed (see pics).
• Full cambelt/tensioners and aux belt/tensioners changed and setup with new water pump and gasket completed by KTEC while exhaust work was completed and engine was out. Done in 2015, receipts provided.
• Pipercross venom large cone induction kit with full cold air feed mounted behind side vent
• Custom KTEC V6 in house remap with full dyno runs before and after. This gave an increase of approximately 20bhp over standard.
• Replacement air con condenser and regas.
• All ignition coils replaced in 2005 (under warranty prior to me owning the car) and again by me in the last 2k miles (plus plugs).
• Battery replaced in last 1000 miles.
• Phase 2 gearbox installed due to the better ratios and shorter shift just after I purchased vehicle. Phase 1 box still available and has been fully inspected and new bearings etc fitted so it is a ready replacement if necessary or can be sold separately.

Wheels and tyres
• Genuine phase 2 alloy wheels, receipt included. Powder coated anthracite grey.
• 39mm zinc plated extended wheel bolts for use with low thickness spacers.
• SG motorsport 10mm wheel spacers.
• Advan Neova Yokohama AD08 Semi Slick Tyres (215/45/R18 Front, 245/40R18 Rear).

Bodywork
• Phase 2 rear lights (originals supplied with sale)
• Bosch Aero Twin Wiper Blades
• Prima racing Clio V6 race spoiler (original will come with vehicle if wanted)
• Silver front splitter (reinforced) with another in yellow (can be supplied with the car)

Interior
• Cobra suzuka pro fixed bucket seats, standard size
• Mark Fish motorsport Ph 1 V6 specific motorsport floor to seat subframes including all harness eye bolts.
• Set of black Schroth 4 point harnesses
• 2 steering wheels available – 300mm OMP trecento with Black Alcantara and 330mm KTEC Renault Sport Sabelt with Blue/Black Alcantara. Steering wheel cover always used on both.
• OMP Steering wheel boss with fabricated 60mm black spacer to bring steering wheel closer to your chest. This is easily removed if not needed.
• Mark Fish motorsport supplied and fitted Safety Devices bolt in half cage, with added harness bar. Powder coated in silver.
• Second skin of engine covers removed when cage was installed as I didn’t want them all cutting. These will be supplied with vehicle as well as the sound deadening so the new owner can make their own decision if they decide to use them.
• Alpine CDE-9850Ri Ipod/CD player installed with face off facility (for what it’s worth with an engine over your shoulder!) Clifford Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system fitted with proximity sensor warning if someone gets too close.
No time wasters please.
£25k ono.
Feel free to contact me for further information.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi great looking car!
can i ask where you go the front splitter from? thanks

I might have a custom-cut fibreglass panel that is similar. I think the V6 Trophy with Ph2 facelift might have had similar.

Yes, I’ll have a host of stuff to get rid of once my project is completed. At this stage, I need to hang on to everything until I know what’s needed. I currently have x2 Russo splitters & x1 flat splitter (similar to the one shown in this thread).
