Does anyone know what I’ll need to put together hydraulic clutch set up ? Or any suggestions on parts used in the past from other models ? Or is it best to go to a manufacturer like Tilton?
Or as I’m swapping to 02M take the full set up out of a Golf, Audi, Seat etc ?
Sorry without reading back, was it the 6 speed err box or 5 speed item?
On my old vag 5 used 5 speed box due to space and converted to clutch cable. You need to raid the seat Ibiza parts bin , would have to look to dig out part numbers etc but worked well
If converting to hydraulic iirc @Big Steve - Raider converted his old clio powered 20vt vag
A few ways to convert and not too scary so more if its cable or hydraulic and go from there
I now own ph1 172 front hubs and calipers plus some ph1 172 driveshafts. Waiting for EFI Parts to reopen to I can buy the adaptor plate.
Going to make a start on fuel swirl pot set up over next few days and get this show on the road.
Also been looking at some wider 13” tyres to move from a 185/60 to a 225/45. I think I can get away with a 225 under standard arches with current set up but a bit concerned about my wheels only being 5.5” wide it might look a bit ballooned although it does seem to be a set up I’ve seen on some track going Caterhams.
Toyo do some 888s in that size, tempted to take a punt.
Lots of options available if going for 15s especially with 172 hubs. Ive seen an AP 4 pot setup that will bolt on the 172 hub and fit under 15s. Price is eye watering only downside
