5 GT Turbo V8 Renault 5 GT Turbo, 4.2L V8 with 6 speed gearbox

What's the length from the centre of the driveshafts to the nose of the V8.......only if you know or it's easy to measure, I've had this box in mind for something for a while.
They do pop up for sensible money quite often and I assume the range of VAG lumps bolt on, 1.8T,V6, ?...............seems a cost effective mid engined combo.

@ashgtturbo2005 I think a male bonding session with you and blocky needed for some input on mine

Plan on mine is double wishbone but not inward suspension. I am going wider at the rear so a bit different.

Great work!!!!!

They were mainly fitted in the 5 cylinder cars originally, and anything else that had the engine in line. Don't think they fit the 4's or the VR6s as they are transverse but I could be wrong. UN1 more cost effective but 350 ft/lb limit, or 500 with a shaft upgrade kit (which is what I've done) - but that makes it the dearer option then. I kept the UN1 as it meant I didn't have to re-engineer the whole back of the car, but your doing that anyway :)

In my opinion, the box to use is O1e. Apparently they are good for 500 bhp as they are, they are six speed, , fit other VAG engines, cheap and readily available. I have collected two as spare (not for sale).
There are much better boxes but they cost a lot.

I'll measure the distance you asked for and let you know
