Phil's AMC GTA

Not sure yet, and as of right now, no.

Need to try and figure out the purpose of the integrated circuit that burned up. It is a highish current device as it is clipped to a heat-sink so I'm guessing it's an amplifier to make something work.

I would hazard a guess that's the reason it doesn't want to start.

I am however wary that it might be a wiring fault further back in the loom which has caused the device to fail too; buying a replacement and plugging it in to have it go up in smoke too is a concern.

I'm not sure yet if it's a common failure point on these ECU's.

that's an exotic mix of accents you've got there Phil!

Somerset and Louisiana bayou country!

Been here for three years now, the local accent has rubbed off and I've had to adapt a bit because nobody understood me when I first came here

Nice!

just look for some feedback.

Excellent work, when's the first road test?

I'm going to order some rebuilt driveshafts for it- unsloppy bearings, new gaiters, all in delivered for $120 so not bad.

I've asked my old man if he'll put my Sykes-Pickavant spring compressors in the mail because they're slim enough to get up inside the turret- all the ones for sale here are suitable to wind the coilsprings down on a quarry truck
Once that's back together it'll technically move under its own power.

There will be videotape of the event.

great work phil, really want to see more of this car, you must get some more photos of both outside and in

Outside it still looks like crap, inside too. The rear seats are out, half the trim is missing, the boot's full of bits of engine...

Sure, what the heck, I'll take some pics.

cant wait to see them

Just about to leave work, gotta go get some fuel, pick up a script at the hospital, go clear the chairs and stuff that accumulate in front of it. Can't move it because it's on three wheels right now, but you'll get to see the carport lol
