Yes I tried to reset it a bunch of times, but it wasn’t having it. The rotary switch just pulls off the tingle tangle mess part. I got a new Tingle Tangle (like it’s new official name now) part and already fitted it to the car.
Gave the Bilsteins a bit of a further tweak to allow me to run the front wheel spacers with these OE 205/45/16 size tyres. Ended up fitting the Rear spring adjusters as well as tweaking up the front coilivers. It’s no-where near as slammed to the deck as it was before, but when you compare the two ride heights side by side, they don’t look a lot different (bonnet open is higher):
As well as tweaking the suspension today, I also changed the reverse switch, (so I’ve got some reverse lights now) And re-set the gearshift with the support of @Millie_Bee so the shift action is super smooth now.
Booked for a MOT now come hell or high water on Mon 20th July.
One of the last little jobs on the Clio today was to replace the Febi Aftermarket top mount assembly that was knocking like something on the Ghost Train with a new shmoo OEM Updated Renault Kit. I took a picture of the two assemblies to show the differences:
With that fitted, the initial results are good, and I sounds like the knocking has gone.. let’s see.
I then roped @Millie_Bee into giving it a quick test drive up & down the Estate road to see how it performed in preparation for the MOT that’s booked on Monday Morning...
Will let you know how that tale goes...!?
No @Adey not since that last picture was taken..? Not sure if there is that much difference in the top mounts that I need to reset the height again..? I’ll give it a measure again tomorrow
