Clio 3,304 days ago since I owned a Renault ..

Owt like that damage, I try to touch damage in with a teeny weeny brush, build paint up slowly, then flat it and buff it, accept it is what it is, problem with rattle lacquer is it doesn't fare well over time compared with proper 2 pack.
Doesn't matter none if looks right enough as you've done it, I'm very adept at producing patchwork quilts out of car paint jobs.......

Funny you should mention 2pak primer.

Plan is to repair the front bumper and paint. Then lacquer.

Then I am going to go full professional with some 2k lacquer and have it shine like a diamond in a goats arse!

After pestering @DiamondPerformance for an age on whatsapp I got down to 3000grit wet and dry , a lot of warm soapy water then some cutting compound which I applied by hand.

For an amateur effort its a solid 8 out of 10 and I dont think you would notice the repair unless I pointed it out. Sure the lacquer isnt super glossy but it doesnt catch the eye either!

Happy overall.

What should the boot card/mdf/thin board look like? Mine doesnt seem to fit and flops around doing 3/4 of nothing.

Every now and again I like to put stuff in the boot so Id like to replace it with a OE, or near OE item.

Any ideas?

I have a dilemma

I am booked onto a track day in Spa ( yay ! )
My wife is coming along ( yay ! )

Its likely to be cold , and wet ( boo! )
I have limited space in the exige boot for helmets , hans , and two peoples luggage ( boo! )
I absolutely cannot bring spare tyres so a set of Yoko 52's will have to suffice.

Now here is my dilemma.

Do I sacrifice the Exige and take the Cup?
Its going to kill me not being able to have a quick car on the circuit , but what a circuit.

No, dont take the Clio. It just doesnt have the legs for Spa, you'll spend half the lap bored, flat out in 5th waiting for a corner. Up the kemmel straight you'll top out at 115-120 and have enough time to make a cuppa before the chicane.

I was at 240hp and 280 torque in the 21 and that was just about fast enough...just! But I did yearn for more power especially up Kemmel where I topped out about 132-133. Mark's Ultima tipped 161mph, that was ballistic!

Pants and socks in the helmets, exige all day long end of. Take what you need, cram behind seats etc etc. Buy on route if really needed, did 3000+ miles in vx220 across Europe with my wife and just Marie Kondo it 😄

Historically my old vag 5 while epic on most tracks ended up coasting on some sections at Spa to keep it cool or just sit on limiter which made no sense - was no match for F40, 911 specials bla bla bla big top speed cars 😮‍💨

While a truly epic track and experience, the journey there and back will also be far more special in the Lotus

New tyres before leaving got me back on markers lol....Nurburgring never helped but not like you will not use the other set if needed so fresh set will see you right 👍

Decision made 💪 tell the boss to pack light 😘
