Advised work this winter

Silence, of all the vee's on this forum it's one of the few that's never had a problem; not even a coil! So there!

(It's soooo going to blow up next time i drive it!)

So, potentially i'm looking at the following:

Cambelt
Clutch
Waterpump belt and waterpump
Cam Dephasers
Oil change
Gbox Oil Change
Plugs

Check list

Power Steering unions?
Drive shaft boots
Engine mounts
Cleanances? Valve seats etc?

It's never had a problem Ali, because it gets used for the purpose it was designed for! I'm a strong believer in cars that get used have fewer problems than cars that sit in garages all year round

I 100% agree! The only thing that kept my vee going was abuse! It lapped it up. Everytime I piss farted about with it something went wrong. What you need Ali is a bit of german in the back. Lol

It will be interesting to find out what it was, personally i would go for the driveshaft boot, if it were overfuelling by that amount it would run like a dog, driveshaft boots are great to do, not available seperately, you have to buy the shaft, ho, ho, ho. i may have a new boot if needed, let us know.

Not convinced that's the source of the leak...the grease on the back of the wheel maybe, but not the leak.
Gave the car a good thrashing over the weekend, went really well. Levels all okay. (the ones i could check anyway)

I believe investigating the issue/s and getting it/them fixed would be an aboslute priority.

Hope nothing serious though.............
