After a flurry of fuel pump and tank repairs i find it needs mentioning again about fuels.
My opinion: If you are to store your treasured possession over winter or even for any long term storage please heed this warning and use a NO ethanol fuel, I find that Aspen works (Blue four stroke one) in cars bikes and even garden machinery. this is around £25 for 5 litres and cheap insurance. Ethanol starts to separate from the fuel at 15 deg C and is most damaging at this temperature.
My cars and bikes get a slug of this in an almost empty tank and it keeps the gremlins at bay, I would suggest in a V6 run the tank down or drain it then put at least one gallon maybe two in the tank and run it through the injectors, left in the system this can last up to 8 years before going stale. (two gallons is nearly 10 litres, so £50's worth) It can be drained and used again but for myself i think why bother?
There are other products out there to use but they must be ethanol free, IMHO the little bottles of fuel stabilisers don't work!
Please be aware.
