Twingo Adey's Twingo GT (F4R+T 2.0ltr engine swap)

I'm very budget conscious, no labour in that guestimate.

Power wise, though as not much as some (looking at you lol), it is plenty in reality. Getting the chassis to make use of as much of it as possible will make it a much better car than it currently is/was
Yep 100% agree I could go more bhp but would be useless atm as I'm fighting this chassis now, The rear is pretty planted and once the knee is sorted ill get this front end 100%

WOW I'm very very surprised at the difference the suspension swap has made. Considering at a basic level I've only made my car about 10mm wider at every corner than it was as I was already on spacers, the change in angles and the rear arb has made a huge difference in feel. I've had it aligned this morning and got hold of the rear measurements to get it shimmed also (its a bit off, input please on what shims I need) and it feels super planted and a lot flatter when cornering. The brakes are a huge upgrade also! Bear in mind I'm on old odd tires and old stock brake pads I cant wait to fit decent stuff in there!

Seems as though on Facebook people are all like "the beams bent swap it" but on Cliosport.net its actually quite normal for them to be all over the place and shimming them to suit is normal when on track. So I'm not too worried, just need to get the right shims ordered and fitted (y)

I just have to say about the amazing customer service received from Nick at Pure Motorsport. I'm not a returning customer or anything but fired off an email regarding my rear alignment, he must of emailed me back about 5 times yesterday (y) Absolutely amazing service to average joe. Shims ordered up as a result.
He was very helpful with me regarding stub axle spacer enquiries before I grabbed your regular spacers . Might still get them anyway down the line.

I should really spend some time getting some proper footage for these vids. Though I currently tend to pop out and work on it 15-20min at a time so it gets difficult.

Is it stable on acceleration? I mean narrow road and full throttle. Or is it hard to hit the road? Amazing transformation.
as in when driving? partial throttle it drives like you are at partial throttle and full its like its on full? check some of my YouTube Videos, plenty of me driving around in it.

Decided to space out the front wings Kanjo Racer style, pretty common to do on mx5's and civics. This gives me a little more space for the wide track conversion. May look to space the front of the wing also at the bumper mounting point. Done quite easily by adding an 18mm spacer to the mounting point behind wing mid mounting point behind the door.

Not really much to report, finally got some new decent (depending on who you speak too) rubber, went with the NS2-R in a 195/45r16. I had them fitted yesterday and today was properly bloody cold so I didn't get out and try the tyres out. I want to remove the rear springs and drop the car down to make sure I have decent clearance back there. Once that is done I want to make sure the car is level all round then get the camber and alignment reset. Once that is done I can start to lean on it abit and really see what the suspension changes have done. Currently it feels super flat and neutral, no major under or over steer, that said I was on the old tyres when I tried it so now it may be different. Next on the wish list are a set of better brake pads front and rear and maybe braided lines. A harness would also be good but only if I plan on a track day (I did used to have one for the car that I have misplaced 🤦‍♂️ ) I really want to make a flat front undertray/splitter so may tackle that over the next month, plenty more reading to do before I start it though.

I can get an RS133 undertray easy enough but I want to have a combined flat splitter and undertray. Strangely Renault also sell flat panels for the mid section of the car, I'm guessing they were for countries with poor rough roads or places prone to undercarriage damage.
Thats interesting to know! Going renault for the part or going to try and import?
Ive not seen a "nice" splitter yet. But i want mine to look oem

Toe in at the rear to aid stability at speed but matched either side and about -1.8 degrees of camber. Will hopefully get back on the ramps this coming week to check. Front should be similar camber but with slight toe out to aid turn in. That's the aim anyway, then I'll see how it all feels and go from there 👍🏻
