We use the old fashion string for tracking all four wheels.

It takes a while to set up, as you actually centre it to the car, and then measure from it.

Annoying when someone comes and kicks it over!

I'd refer to Geo as the whole shabang, not just tracking........... castor, camber, four wheel alignment ?

Very similar, we have two bits of 2x1" box Drilled at equal distances, mainly for the sprites but it works well.

Doing a Frogeye tomorrow.

You basically measure from the car so the string is equal at each side. Ideally you'd find the centre point front and rear and measure from that. Or from a fixed point on each side at the front and rear of the car. So both strings are parallel.

We use 2 x box sections front and rear of the car on axle stands which are Drilled at each end. Then measure to a point on each side until the measurements are equal, so the car is central then we start measuring the wheels from there.

This is only for tracking though.

So as no one seems to do a short shifter for the Twingo or Clio 1.2 TCE so i gave it a quick crack. Final results are just over an inch less throw and the gear lever sitting half inch closer to the driver. Nothing major, i didnt really find the standard shift that long tbh but i kept seeing people asking for a short shifter. Took me all of 20min to do. This is how you do it.... The PMT way

You will need a drill, pilot and m8 tapping size, 6.5 or 6.7 will do for this. An M8 x 1.25 tap. Also you will require a 10mm m8 ball ended stud HERE

Remove everything thats in the way of the shift mechanism, mine was easy to get to as i have relocated the battery so i just removed the air filter.
It will look like this



Theres pretty much only one place it can go due to the shape of the bracket and the cable end. I marked mine up, pilot drilled it, then through with an m8 tap



After you have done this get the 10mm ball end stud and thread it in the hole you created. I fitted mine with a spring washer to raise it slightly and then added a dab of thread lock.



Then pop the cable end onto the new ball end




Make sure everything moves freely and the car engages gear nice and smooth, refit everything and enjoy your slightly shorter shift Boom, mic drop, done

indeed, straight fit (ill keep all the spacers out) should give a little more support and look loads better. Not actually seen these yet though, hopefully they arnt hanging

Took a drive out today across some nice roads in wales with Mrs Ewok to pick some seats up. Car kept flashing the eml and idling lumpy. Took it easy as it seemed to cruise fine but it looks like the injector i replaced a few weeks back has packed in, pulling the leads off number 1 makes next to no difference at idle but the car clears up when revved. Something I need to look at this eve I think.

Any way, i picked up some twingo RS Seats, and have fitted them in, such a small thing has made it alot nicer place to be. Will give them a wet vac soon. I also got some Interior wing mirror covers as mine had holes in from a previous owners tweeters, so nice to replace them finally.

The 133 is a great base @Big Steve - Raider. I had a blue one!

133 has the looks but needed a turbo/bigger engine for sure. @bloke turboed his lads one though and made decent power.

I did contemplate actually buying another 133 but with a wrecked engine and swapping in the 1149cc, sounds backwards but with relatively few mods the d4ft is making more hp and loads more torque than a 133 but would have the better chassis, seats and stereo to start with.
