Twingo Adey's Twingo GT (F4R+T 2.0ltr engine swap)

172 starter motor turned up, identical physical fitment to the laguna item but the solenoids terminals are in a worse place. So laguna starter will be retained and the 172 starter goes to the pile of parts I don't need.

Loom wrapped up and ready to go bar the trunking part than goes over the gearbox.

Cambelt should be delivered this afternoon so thats tomorrows job.

If the brake master cylinder and the clutch turn up this week I may even be able to throw it back in this weekend though I need to call a favour in on the sump as that has a small crack. 🤞🏻

Cracked on with the belts today. Was a bit of a pain doing the bottom pulley up with an engine loose on the floor and ended up leaning it against the work bench and putting a scaffold pole on the bar to get my 95 degree tightening. All went well though and everything seems to line up nicely when checking. Covers back on and one more thing ticked off the list. Also started on the brakes by removing the 20mm Twingo MC and replacing it with a Peugeot 23mm MC, this moves the pipes to the other side for some more clearance and acts as an upgrade so I can hopefully run Brembo's and rear disks in the future. Also note the little Renault part I was hunting which gives me a nice factory take off for a remote reservoir.

Clutch was also paid for today after a measure up of the old one so that should hopefully be here by the weekend (y)

You will have to give it a title. If you cross a Mégane and a Clio then it's a Meglio? You've crossed a Laguna with a Twingo correct?

Laguna and megane have gone into this. I keep calling it the Fart Twingo at the moment as thats what the engine code looks like? F4rt open to suggestions though. Twinguna, La'ingo?....

225 tb on 250 inlet with adaptor, as im using r26 sagem s3000 did not want the hassle of throttle issues with 250 tb.

Ill be running 250 rising rate fuel system, 550kpa intank reg using a higher output pump. See how that goes for now.
Which part of the intake pump is the reg? I fitted a walbro pump but didn't take any notice of a reg.

Exactly that Steve. Slightly better organic material and then the pucks bite harder into the cover 👌 also you don't get get the full race clutch feel so can slip it a touch in traffic/normal driving conditions rather that just on and off. Should hold a chunk more torque but not as much as a full race clutch.

Well so I'm told

We will see.......
