Well car is fully road legal now... just oil leak, gasket paper to fit on the throttle body and oil change then out for a drive woohoo hope ther weathers good tomorrow ill get all they jobs done.

also ordered my 630cc injectors from the US last night £156 compared to £210 from UK and there Matched so no randoms out a bag!!

Watch out for import tax, I bagged a BARGAIN swirl pot setup and a radiator, the Rad I got away without paying extra but the swirl pot they did me for half the cost of the item over again :'( (was still a steal though!)

Well turbo made its first trip out today after fixing the issues did around 60 miles in her

All was going well until weird noise coming from drivers side wheel think drive shaft is loose but I'll get a look at it tomorrow also need to invest in bonnet raisers as there's so much heat under the bonnet

You are going down the wrong route with raisers. It will increase the under bonnet temps. The design of the car is to use the low pressure under the car to draw the heat out underneath it. You will wreck that effect by using raisers.

I'll remove the rubber bump strips see if that helps...slowly but surely gettin used to the clutch just so snappy at junctions

Is your exhaust wrapped? You can reduce under-bonnet temps by insulating your exhaust.

Well the teething issues have appeared

First off is my driverside hub has stripped threads out two of the holes, bu sorted that yesterday

Second of is when I'm doing 70+ and let off the throttle there's a loud grinding sort of noise coming from front right and the steering wheel vibrates quite abit not clue what's causing it

Yeah mate it's solid mounts and full poly bushes expect wishbones

I'll have to get under it and have a look at some point

Usually caused by someone in the past cross threading a bolt....commonly Kwik-Fit (etc) assholes razzing nuts back in with an airgun without winding the threads in by hand first. Damages/weakens the thread. Can also be caused by overtightening but you really have to give it some hammer for that! I'd expect the nut to snap before the thread gives to be honest.

Grinding off throttle, could be vibrations resonating....check your exhaust (etc) isn't catching, look for shiny bits where metal:metal has been rubbing. Otherwise, i'd check your driveshafts and if they're OK drain the 'box oil and see if it looks "metallic" or if there is any discernable metal bits in it.

I'll check the exhaust and driveshafts just find it weird it's only over 70

Did you fit longer wheel bolts when you fitted the spacers? Is the wheel still locating on the hub? Off centre wheel would strip threads and the other issues.

Same as wheels being out of balance, can sometimes only show at higher speeds

There only 5mm spacers so didn't need longer wheel studs but the wheel isn't sitting on the hub

I'll get the car to have the wheels balanced see if that helps first

i used to use a clio rs throttlebody on my buildt, last summer i noticed that this was not optimal.
the difference between the diameters of the manifold and the throttle.
it reduced the perfomance and response......

Well I did have to pay import tax on my injectors but still worked out cheaper than buying them in the uk

As for my issues I was having the major vibration through the steering wheel is gone balancing the front wheels solved that and the weird noise I was getting when at 70 is my exhaust rubbing off a heat shield

But on the good side of things I only have 200 miles or so to drive then mapping on Friday
