Hi folk

thought I post my progress of my build in here

Last year I put a f4r block with megane internals, manifolds and turbo in my Clio 172 it ran 246bhp 264ftlb at 0.8 bar


ill upload photos when i can

Unfortunetly the car spun a shell in one off the conrods due to lack of oil pressure, so made the choose to get the block forged and it's currently with Andrew Geer at clioturbo based in Durham being done

hoping to get it back at the end of the month

any questions just ask!!

No way! What caused the lack of oil pressure, any ideas?

Lack of oil, changed the starter after it failed and notice and oil leak thought I'd fixed it but clearly not few days later knock knock knock

heres some photos from my build last year

old engine out


heat shield in


new engine in


slimline radiator and turbo infeed pipe


intercooler mounted


nearly done just waiting on silicone hoses


relocated the break servo bottle into the scuttle panel due to having changed master cylinder to a 406 v6 one to clear the downpipe but its still close


all done ready for mapping hence why no HT leads conneted


all set for journey to EFI Parts for Ecu and mapping




and this is my daily cost me £520 odyssey blue ph1 172

would love to go out in a turbo clio at some point, have had both an itb and cammed one and a sc one, i need a turbo one to tick all the box's. how does it handle to power?

it handled well power delivery was great always there when needed it, didnt like the wet tho would just spin the wheels
will have an issue this year with putting the power down with it going into the 300's but got my clutch and pressure plate sorted just need a diff for the gearbox

Careful when you diff it, I have a mate with a gripper diff in his 172 and it's fallen apart about four times so far!

im going for quaife or if budget allows the o2m conversion (which id prefer)

as ive said above car has been stripped heres the photos to go with it and the prep work done

strip out










intercooler getting primer ready for satin black paint as im going for a stealth look






downpipe been heat wrapped




brake lines wrapped in heat reflective tape and wrap

Once it's built I'll tidy it up and source a gearbox but no major plans more power ATM lol

Its a no brainer that one I reckon fella. The diff in the R26 transforms the car.

Spoke to my engine builder the other day he's hoping to have the engine finished at the weekend, also he's waiting on the turbo coming back



Also picked this little beauty up along with a pressure plate for £100, clutch plate has been sent to helix for replating should have it back with a week
