As a few will remember I had the pleasure of owning this car back in 2005 and sold during the incarnation of the vag powered black 5......

.....11 years on Chris gave me the opportunity to buy back and talked myself into its just a bit of welding and lock of paint, bit of tlc and get using it

How I left it :)

Car was a very very well looked after example by Tony before me and has every receipt and documentation from original bill of sale through owners and Chris has also collected everything 8-).....Provence ;)

Not decided fully what to do yet if to use as daily, mothball it for sons and resist any major mods / colour changes etc?

Going to give it a quick wash before going in the garage this afternoon and take some more pics

4 weekends enough to make No bling at the ring October :D lol

Wow ! Love it.
This is going to be a great project to watch !

It is far more straight forward than the rs3 powered 5, as it is now in my garage suspect I will strip it back to shell and store the parts in my container the 5 was going in for and build a rotisserie to start the metal work

But as the boss lady has made it clear no more friends cars / projects allowed and just my own stuff I may actually start getting stuff done (at a pace of job and 3 kids lol)

Short of speaker grill all present

From what Chris said and quick look
Inner / outer sills
Front bumper
Pax skirt
Jacking points
Windscreen
Discs / pads
Door
Sort rust windscreen / boot patches

Making stuff and fabrication happy with......spraying and bodywork not a skill I hold yet. Have a few good friends to advise and support.

May have a go myself might just call a few favours in

I had in my mind this was the quicker of the 2 projects but rs3 looks far easier as at home making the engine and bits fit lol

Will try to get rs3 thread rolling. 1st job get old 20vt stuff out for fellow member on here and then its a big boys fabrication weekend time :)
