5 GT Turbo V8 Renault 5 GT Turbo, 4.2L V8 with 6 speed gearbox

That's sexy, nice supercharged v8.
Ok now that you brought it up, you can not have a R5 without boost. I have an other an other Audi V8 on stand and will be making a supercharger kit. Sound of supercharged V8 in R5 inches away from your ears .... Love the look and sound of it....
Tried to wire up the car and get the engine started. Had some problems and we left it after 6 hours. Very disheartening when things go to the plan but will try to get it sorted this week.

Yep best thing to do is to walk away, and hit it again with fresh eyes, and it'll end up being the simplest little item that caused the problem :ireful2.gif:

Try Disconnecting the throttle position sensor and see will the injectors fire then if the throttle position sensor is faulty or not reading the ecu cuts the firing signal from ecu:acute.gif:

Thanks mate, I will try that. I have just received the immobilizer defeat chip and will try the new chip too.
If i cannot get it to work send me a big hammer from Ireland mate. Lol.
It will eventually get there...

Verify your theory by hurling an egg cup full of fuel in the inlet, let it sit in the manifold for a minute to build up some vapour and crank it over see if it fires a few times.

Good luck mate, I know how frustrating these first starts get from my first forays into standalone management :)

Opened the Chipped ECU and as I suspected the company in States did not fit the immobilizer defeat to the ECU. I'm really annoyed the them but they have wasted so much of my time.
We have installed the new Immobilizer defeat kit from EBay and it fired up straight away. It ran really well for its first fire up. What a relief.
I misplaced a drive shaft end for the front hub and need as drive shaft end (hub end) if anyone around London has one for sale.

This is such a cool conversion. I used to love seeing this at Ace Cafe, hopefully I'll get to see and hear it with the V8 in the future :)

Today had my first small drive of the car it all seems to be working fine, it's a perfect combination for me. Lovely sound and torque of V8 in R5. Linkage seems to be good and gears are really easy to select. Managed to sort out the interior and most of the wiring.

I have a problem and need some help. I have misplaced a drive shaft and was wondering if anyone around London has one for sale.

Just let me have a quick check in my box labelled "driveshafts for cars where the engine is at the wrong end"

*rustle rustle*

No sorry I seem to be fresh out of rear-engined-V8-Renault-5-driveshafts.

(Could you elaborate on what sort of shaft, and what side its for please?)
