5 GT Turbo The winter project. EFI and lots more

I do miss having access to a two post lift. It made everything easier!

So lucky my mate own this body shop and happy for me to use everything, proper air tools made it enjoyable.

All ready now for some paintwork, also going to cut away part of the bulkhead so we have more space with the turbo elbow, then we can drop engine in.

I need a wazzer wazzer gun. Would help on every task !
I use a battery impact gun for the small jobs when it's not worth powering up the compressor, and then have a gun, ratchet, saw, tyre inflator, blower, and a blasting gun for thinners to use when the compressor is on. Godsend for razzing wheels off and the like, and the air ratchet on bellhousing bolts is fantastic.

Jobs for this week...
Extending the side exits.
Check cam timing and fit new trigger wheel.
Pick up turbo from Bernies Blowers, refit with wastegate and downpipe.
Change bulkhead slightly for more access for turbo downpipe.
Paint engine bay.
Be a happy boy if it goes to plan, may even drop the engine in on Sunday :)

The ends were pointing at the floor, we don't want flames under the car now with a swirl pot sitting there !!!!
Had a trial run this afternoon........

You could drop the Front Subframe, fit the Engine, then lift it slowly into place, that way you will know if it's going to hit anything?
