5 GT Turbo The winter project. EFI and lots more

Certainly was Dave...... Having another go tomorrow brrrrr
Drain fuel and strip out the fuel lines and regulator. Give the engine bay a degrease and clean ready for my mate to paint.

I have seen a gate on the original manifold many years ago. Did he not want to weld to cast? The adaptor will work fine though. Ive seen a gt series exhaust housing with a 38mm takeoff cast on but the .72 ar was a tad large

Well, nearly there, parts courtesy of Chris @ EFI Parts. Loom, sensors, ECU, trigger wheel etc.
Ebay............................Saab red injectors, FSE fuel regulator, Bosch 044 fuel pump.
Still to get, swirl pot, fuel lines.
Hope to make a start beginning of December.
myself and micheal tiernany were talking of making use of where the mechanical fuel pump would be for a cam angle sensor, so you can run sequential injection

I run one of the adapters and it works fine. Only changing cos I'm having a full manifold built.

Welding to cast, you need to groove into the join and layer stainless and normal tig weld into it. That's how I welded my WG adapter on to my OE manifold. It hasn't cracked yet, six or seven years on. And preheat the components too.

Spent ages getting everything to fit, ordered the pipe, went to the engineer who said
" I'm not welding that there!!"
Got a plan B......

Clarkey, where did you get these from. I looked for something like a while back (2 yrs ago) and could only find T25 to T3 with an external wastegate takeoff?

I've had a VNT on the shelf for about 6-7 yrs! Lovin' the mods and look forward to the result.
