Thank you all for your enthusiasm.
Well, even though we are not able to enjoy Silverstone Classic, the super event that it is, in 2020, I hope the attached will serve as a memento to celebrate the Vee's 20th Anniversary.
Developing The Clio V6 Road Cars is v6Clio.net's version of the 'Clio V6 Story', which highlights some of the facts related to TWR's involvement that led to the birth of the Clio V6 as we know it, which were either missed or understated in the book titled
Clio V6 Story (Wake Upp Editions, ISBN 2-910824-02-0).
I would like to thank MarkK, Duncan, and James for their contributions, especially Mark for writing up the first draft. :approve:
Of course, as Club Registrar, and overall V6 guru, Duncan reviewed the text to ensure that the write up is factually correct and James offered useful insight into its layout.
The plan was to produce booklets and hand them out to all attendees and visitors who showed an interest in our cars and/or visit our display area. However, now that COVID-19 put paid to our plans, please feel free to download a PDF version of
Developing The Clio V6 Road Cars, which I hope will act as a suitable substitute.

Of course, as far as mementos go, downloading and reading through a PDF cannot be compared to a hardcopy booklet printed on glossy paper, but I hope this will go some way towards celebrating the Vee's 20th Anniversary.
We even went a step further and had special banners created to showcase the fact that we were celebrating the Vee's 20th. My thanks go to Honsta and James for their hard work in doing the artwork, the many iterations reviewing and refining the artwork, and finally getting the banners made up. Hon did a brilliant job with the artwork. :salut:
Note that since we live in a world where our planet needs saving, the newly commission banners will be reusable - they were designed to have the appropriate anniversary or, for use at other times, a suitable message to be stuck on so that we can keep reusing the same banners at every future event.
So, yes, it is extremely disappointing to have had the event cancelled, but given the circumstances, there wasn't much else the organisers could do, which is why they held on until the last possible moment before pulling the plug.
Roll on 2021, and hope to see as many of you at Silverstone Classic 2021, and we can then make up for lost time!
Stay safe.
