5 GT Turbo Renault 5 campus.....for summer boostings

Think for the use it gets part worn road slicks will be going on. Plenty of 185 wides of them about.

they have made a huge difference too! still need to get on and get it set up, i went to put the wideband in only to find i dont have a fag lighter to power it in my povo spec car.
PMSL, is it that poverty spec it doesn't have a fag lighter...jeez thats pretty bad!

its got a really nice blanking plug to replace it lol. ive been told theres a 5 at the local scrappy so ill try and pop there this week

yesterday i had a little time, so i retorqued the head as she look a little wet at the front, and then re set the tappets. sounds a little quieter but still a tappy c1j.

managed to get to the local scrappy to find another campus there, this one equipped with a fag lighter, so that was taken out for mine so i can run the wideband. I also managed to swipe a parcel shelf and fixings as mine had snapped off the lugs that hold it up.

Luckily it had the wiring for the fag lighter tucked away, so fitted it all up nicely. down side is it doesnt seem to be getting power and the fuse looks fine. Will need to investigate a little more when the rain stops. Anyone know if the fag lighter is only powered when thecars running or anything?

ignition switched on im not getting anything, havent tried with the car running yet as the little one is napping and the sidey wakes the street up

so now the tuning can start :ag:

also another little thing swapped, the header tank cap.
The one i had on there was a blue type that came with the tank. There was witness marks of it releasing so i ran the car a few times up to temp whilst watching it and found the water level to rise to the cap then spit out!!! at first i feared the worst! but then noticed that the cap was plain and unbranded, fitted a spare brown oem cap and at the last test the water stayed low. I think the cap was just not sealing or releasing pressure early. Something to watch out for on replacement header tanks (y)

Also did a little digging and found the reason my car smokes a little on start up

@Brigsy mentioned looking there I think. Rear turbo oil seal? Might have to lay her up for the winter now until I have some pennies for a rebuild
