21 Turbo Renault 21 - J7R Twin cooling fan not working - Relay Mixo 8 the cause (as fitted to GT Turbos)?

Thanks all for your help so far in getting my sleeping R21 TXE auto working. Having now got the engine to run properly with the only correct PTC coolant sensor available in the world (!), and a very expensive PTC air temp sensor from Germany, I'm now trying to sort a problem with the cooling fans!

The cooling fans do not kick in - they spin freely by hand. They do not run despite bridging the radiator fan switch connector.
Both could be blown (unlikely hopefully). There appears to be a relay to control the fans (I presume to time them).

I've done my best to search the catcar.info resource for my variant (L483).
However, I can't find this relay on there. I suspect they are on my car as it has a towbar, an automatic transmission with its own cooler (which is no longer connected to the radiator - a query on a separate post).

I presume I can use the same from a 5 GT Turbo as it appears similar (as linked to here).

Any thoughts or ideas welcome!?

Thanks a lot, yet again!

Thanks! I haven't quite got it out yet as it's a bit difficult to reach without taking some of the slam panel apart - but I'll get to it now that I know how it comes apart (didn't want to pull it and break something before I saw how it connected).

Rip all of the wiring out

Test the fans direct to the battery

Test the rad switch works in a pan of boiling water with a multimeter

If the fans and the rad switch work, build a full new loom. It's very simple. I run a permanent 12v from the battery though not ign live (Ign Swith 1) to the relay so the fans can run on a bit after shutdown.

The relay control wire is all light duty stuff but for the battery>30, 87>fan and fan>ground use 30a wire. You can take the power feed from the 13mm terminal under the black cover behind the battery.

A belated thank you! Sorry I've only just seen this reply. Having just taken out the radiator to replace it and flush the engine, I was doing a search for a replacement fan blade (sourced the motor, but the blade was absolutely jammed onto my old motor). I came across your response and am sorry I missed it! I found the 2nd relay when removing the radiator - plus another one nearer the automatic gearbox's computer whilst replacing the auxillary belt and PAS belt - which I assume is related to that somehow).
