5 GT Turbo R5 GT Turbo - Complete strip down and re-build #1

Whats the process @Chris74# ?
It goes into the oven for a bake in order to remove the majority of the paint, sealant and all of the other good stuff that these cars collect over a thirty year period. Then it is jet washed and the blistered paint and rubbish removed. Then it goes into the acid bath for a soak followed by a quick jet wash and then a dip in a neutralising tank. Then its off for a full sand down and then a 2Pk weld through etch primer is applied.

Then its back home to get on with some welding and the dreaded seam sealing!

Almost disappointingly solid! Needs more drama lol

No, I was planning on 4-6 weeks, and was going to teach myself to weld in that time. Oh well, better get a welding rig and get practising!!
R-Tech MIG180 is a great welder, worth every penny and a fab company for service too.
