Mines the left pipe as you look at it is sitting to the far left of the hole, slightly rubbing on the bumper.

Right one as you look at it is sitting perfect in the hole :?

Think its the non adjustable side of the collector box that needs a gentle persuasion, gonna have another look over the weekend I think,

I thought the adjustment was simply to align the entry pipes into the back box. I guess a small adjustment might "pull" the box over.

I'll give that a go first! Thanks Peter.

If the pipes don't line up you have to stick a metal bar up the hole and bend them. It is not uncommon and it will sort it out.

Can't understand what the fuss is over the OMG. We all knew the normal version would be louder than standard and also that the OMG had no baffles in it? That to me tells me it is going to be a monster. They must sound like TVRs :D

There just seems to be quite a lot of negative comments about it. I'm just really eager to hear what it actually sounds like. Hopefully should get car back 2moro, but might not as I'm having other stuff done to the car.

Can somebody with the OMG post a good quality sound clip so that we can all see (hear) what the fuss is about?
If any1 is unhappy with it and I like the sound i'd defo consider taking it off their hands.

Yeah sorry mate, I live in Dorset.
That's at least £60 away! lol  (u know it's bad when distances are measured in £s!)
I look forward to listening to the clip.
Cheers
:D

Has nobody on here ever had a sports exhaust on before, on any car?

My M Roadster had a 98db(ish) Pro-Speed exhaust and I loved it, brilliant engine note and lots of burble. If the QS is as good and even louder I'll be very content :D

Mine is great. I had some copper in a van askiing what size engine was in it – his guess was 2.8. he seemed pretty taken with it. I could barely hear him :D

ive nearly just changed my mind.i got a mate to drive my car whlist i was stood at the side of the road to listen to the car go by,quite a few times, and what a note.one of the best sounding cars i have ever heard, bar none.
just need some sound deadning done on the inside now and itll be perfection.

When I first got a sports box on my 172 I was like "what have I done" ... but after a short while I couldn't imagine being without it and the car being boring and quiet.

Will be sticking with the stock Vee exhaust tho' ;)

Been down the pub tonight and put the exit pipe alignment problem to some ex-works rally boys. Word is that the only way to sort the miss alignment is to heat the exit pipes (with a gas lamp)and bend them. This will lead to a "blue" colour/staining of the ss exhaust.
The only way to avoid dis-colouring of the Stainless Steel effect is with TIG welding, as used by qs. I'll take some measurements tomorrow, but I suspect its more than a coincidence that at least a few of us are reporting the same degree of mis-alignment.

At the end of the day, the exit holes through the bumper should be at a repeatable distance. It appears that some of the qs exhausts aren't. There must be an issue with quality control. I'm going to take some measurements and speak to James @ qs on Monday.

The alternative is of course to have one made that fits....
