The following schematic shows the internals of an OEM Mk2 exhaust after being cut open for modification (i.e., removal of baffling and additional drilling).

Just had the back box back from my mates, the noise when cruising the street is awesome, the bangs and pops are immense... feels slightly smoother too... dunno if that is me... but definitely worth the no pence I paid for the labor. Sounds amazing, no boom when cruising at speed... WEL HAPPY!¬!!!!
