thats a shame, my 21's missing a shoe that looks identical to those but in 14" alloy flavour, would have made it easier to find another if they'd stuck em on the 5's aswell..
My car officially smells of weeeeee! (ps morning all!)
Drove the 10 miles to my mums on Friday arvo and stalled a total of 9 times! Every time I slow down to turn off at a junction the sodding things cuts out on me. I was not happy by the time I finally made it.
Changing the plugs and leads on Wednesday. Not sure if it's car error or driver error but I'm plumping for it being the car's fault as it's not really done it to me before but admittedly I am still getting used to it and maybe I'm not using the choke properly either.
I used to like it but drank sooooooo much of it when I was young (was common for me to drink a bottle or two on a friday night, sometimes with Special Brew as snakebite, oh yea I was classy!) even the sight of it makes me heave now
get some carb cleaner (£5 at most from hellfrauds factors ect) remove the airbox and spray that shit in there loads of it get someone inside holding the revs at 3k or more then take him for a good blast down a daul carriage way (i dono if thats the best way mind) but as your a girl its the easiest (its never done me no harm)
just did a search for carb icing and it sounds remarkably similar to what is happening, thanks a million will give it a check over for pipe (or lack of)!
by any chance, would said pipe perhaps be an aluminiumy corrugated bendy type thing?
It's just I have this funny feeling that some time last year one like that may have come off my car and I was told (by a person I may now shoot!) that it was nothing to worry about and it wasn't needed!!
Not my fault if so, I'm just a girl lol. Signed up to do a mechanics course next year tho as I'm not gonna be a "fella can you change my tyre" type driver
well bugger me! Right, I'm off to kick some step-father shaped ass tonight, bloody men I know I should never listen to 'em <ducks to avoid the come back>
Thanks for that, will get that sorted and hopefully all will be well.
well, boyfriend is undetaking project "save Ruben from Trents" as we speak. He says my pipe is there and looks to be ok. A wire on th alternator is broken but can be taped. He's just broken his tool (!) so only 1 plug has been changed lol.
He need to make sure the pipe is connected up right if its not cold air will get in and cause icing.
Get him to buy some carb/brake cleaner and a cheap toothbrush and go to town on the carb, get it gleaming. It will be tricky to start after this btw you'll need to hold the revs up.
