Im unclear of the rules regarding modifying a PCP car, assuming as long as car goes back after term as OE then all good ? Although I have a BMW warranty for first 12 months so guessing I should leave it alone for at least the first year ?

Technically you are not allowed to mod as you dont own the car.

Evening chaps, well as you know I break things and don’t seem to have a great deal of luck when it comes to cars so in keeping with my reputation and after only 700 miles and just over two weeks of ownership the M3 is back at BMW with a suspected exhaust cam issue which apparently is quite common in 2017 cars and newer.

I have found at least another 7 or 8 owners who have had the same issue on cars with mileage as low as 7k.

Anyway dropped it off today, they’ve acknowledged the noise isn’t right and waiting to hear what needs fixing and how long it will take.

I thought that was more the crank hub rather than cam issue? Seems all but one owner I’ve spoken to had a standard car.

When I start fucking with tuning/mapping which will inevitably happen with me I’ll need to upgrade the crank hub, seems that a few places offer a solution.

I know of one

Make sure you use ECUTEK as well. Its miles better than the bootmod3.
