if you need to do some "swapping" with items to find out what needs doing with the little jobs, feel free to pop over matey and can swap bits and bobs with mine to double check

Hey neal, I'm struggling to source the subframe cage nuts in your report, part number 7703044037. Went to renault, that part number is for some plastic cage nuts. Could you point us in the right direction please? ;)

On page41, when your talking about the window seals, did you mean you got them off a 3 door ph1 or ph3 clio?

Yeah it was a 3 door phase 3 clio. The seals on ph1 and ph2 are probably the same but I picked a ph3 to rob them off just because they'll be newer ;)

Just reading this thread again about the sills, think on p21. & u say u cut it back level to the inner sill which the outer is spot welded to. And any higher would cut off the quarter panel spot welds, which i agree not good right.
But what if you had to repair the whole sill or the part above these quarter panel spot welds??
E.g if you look at that 1st pic of yours, where the bit bulges out with the holes in (just under the bottom of the door).

Hmmm, dunno.

You'd have no choice but to just do it and grind off the spot welds. If you were careful you could probably drill and puddle weld the new sections in the same places.

Yeh that was what i was thinking to drill/grind out the spot welds and then re weld the sills to the quarter. & hopefully not changing the shape of the quarter panel/bodyline. Luckily not happening to my car
But was wondering if you wanted to refresh the whole seal and couldn't grind out those spot welds, your buggered.

Just spent several hrs reading this wee black 19 story....cracking effort and very interesting.........respect regs Sc
