5 GT Turbo Throttle cable setup

Hi all

So for the first time in 10 years I finally got her running today!

So the throttle cable fitted was a universal one and was basically bodged on with block connectors! But have a proper cable now and the part pictured, but cannot for the life of me figure out how it fits? I know where the bracket locates, it’s just how the cable goes from pivotey thing to carb

Does anyone have a pic or 2 of this in there engine bay so I can see how it is all works?

There should be a short cable with a ferrule on one end and a grey ball socket on the other. The socket fits over the ball in the picture and the ferrule fits into the carb throttle lever.

guessed it was something like that, spotted one on ebay then it kind of made sense,

But what are all accessory bits for in the cable kit? the cable currently fitted has none of these, and is basically universal cable just clamped onto bracket to the right of carb with a self tapper and washer, then a block connector on cable to carb lever! (not my handywork btw!)

The kit in pic above is basically a universal kit. Most of the bits go in bin sadly and the crimp on end is pretty crap.

Use the items below instead with the new inner/outer cable.

Fit this in cable bracket.

Use this to secure cable. Get a rivet and knock the pin out to fit before it to keep it secure in carb linkage.
