Marks 2018 F80 M3

You know Lexus do an equivalent called the ISF and it just does as its meant to do, it drives and drives and drives and drives? It'll have the odd service, Yamaha built the engines phenomenally well.

Its uncanny that manufacturers still occasionally build cars that don't break.

I used to adore BMW.

The resolution with BMW is they’ve sorted another car, one year newer ( 2018 ) slightly better spec, 18 months warranty vs 12 months plus an 18 month service pack which basically means the next big service is free.

It’s a £2k discount on the overall list price too.

With any luck I can pick it up this week.

I cannot WAIT to see what you do to kill this one too.

....not sure if i'm joking or not.

There will be issues but I won’t be outsourcing the work like I’ve done this time that’s for sure. I don’t like not being in full control, there is one thing giving someone a brief but it’s something altogether different to get them to stick to it.

I have a sneaky suspicion it’s going to come back not entirely to my liking. Time will tell.

I meant the new BMW you plonker not the Rex.

The few bits of carbon have hit a little switch in my head saying that I need more so currently negotiating with Cotswold BMW for a discount on this carbon rear diffuser (see link below), I think the black kidney grilles and the carbon up front really suit the car but the rear is standard blue diffuser and a small colour coded rear spoiler, I think a touch of carbon on both spoiler and diffuser will be the finishing touches.

So when you’ve got fuck all else to do and work is quiet go to town on your new car.

Started with the bug remover to get rid of grit, grease and dead insects.

Then gave it a rinse followed by a snow foam.

Next another rinse followed by a hand wash.

One more rinse and a hand dry with my big old towel. (Probably should of cleaned the car better, it’s a bit dirty lol)

Then finally on to a polish and wax

The final results came out not bad, tomorrow I’ll do wheels, glass and interior if it’s dry.

A new thread to keep the BMW content separate from the RX7.

This car will likely stay as it is barring the odd bit of carbon and a remap once the warranty has lapsed.

It will likely become a “look at my clean car” thread.

You never just shared a post of you detailing the car? Never go full BMW wanker 😂

I haven't bothered posting mine on here and it's mods, didn't think anyone would be interested
