5 GT Turbo GTT getting ready for the track.

Can't go wrong with black and gold looks sweet.

Update
Got my radiator today striped the old motor from the frame that holds it to the rad. I will be finding nice new bolts to hold it in place. Also found a plug that is a good match for the thermostat switch that screw into rad as I had to cut the old plug off and around 6" of wiring. Btw the plug I used was from Audi A4 it's the fog light plug that plugs onto fog light it won't hold its self on but its a nice fit so I can make adjustments to that also used some wiring from work that just push into the plug so happy days.

I joined that last night and taped the loom up. I'm taking fan to work today to build it up as I'm having trouble removing the actual fan so going to gun the 13mm nut off I have a nice new valeo motor to go on aswell.

Also tyres getting stripped of Williams wheels today so I can hopefully drop them down to a powder coaters at castleford.

I also ordered front and rear discs and pads including rear bearings already fitted.

Update

2 steps forward 1 step back.

So after fitting my new rad I went to screw standard oil feed lines into rad and the thread was not deep enough so now I'm in the dilemma of buy oil pipes to match rad or get oil cooler !!

Also droped my wheels off for powder coat tonight they will be ready for Saturday.

image.webp image.webp I have ordered an external oil cooler so today I removed the standard sandwich plate the 24mm nut was loose so it's a good job I did remove it .... Word of warning if your doing oil and filter change check the 24mm nut behind oil filter just for peace of mind.

I'm missing boosting now and it's only been a week hopefully by Monday night I can do a little road test.

The picture is just after I got my badge refurbished from earlier in the year..... (It's really just a pic to keep you interested everyone loves a picture)

image.webp Rear brakes fitted although I could do with giving the calipers a coat of paint. Also can you get the rubber boots/dust covers for the caliper Pistons seperate on the rear ? Mine a tired

@Brigsy powder coated mate.

Ok well I built it all up this morning to bleed the coolant system and see if I could get my fan working ...... And I can't rad was red hot as we're all pipes and it still did not come on so I'm going to hardwire a switch into the cabin as I'm pissed off with it now.

Well as the switch does not work or more than likely the wiring I will just bypass the lot and fit a switch. I'm a bit gutted that it's come to this to tell you the truth .....

The relay connection was a PITA. I swapped the relay out and then wiggled the wires near that area then pulled them gently and the fan started up.

The loom was funked on that car.

Yes that used to work for me also around that relay. I've just cut the old fan motor wires off and used the plugs together on new motor earthed to back of alternator and live into cab, switch, fuse, batt,
So far only run the live into car need to find switch and fuse holder (which I have both but can't find them)

Tomorrow's another day...
On another note I won't be working on the car after work tommorow as getting more done on my tattoo

image.webp Well I got my fan working and put wheels on and rolled it out for some pictures. I imagine the suspention will settle a little when I go for a drive but I have new apex dampers to go on front I just need to decide what springs to fit as I have no point of reference becouae the springs that are on I have no idea what the drop is . Also fan switch wired in and working so I'm happy bunny again.
