5 GT Turbo GTT getting ready for the track.

image.webp The campus pulley arrived this week for the 5 so I can make a touch more space around the alternator for the boost pipe. Thank god for all the lads that figured all these mods out in the 90s.

I will give it a sand and paint tomorrow at work to try make it look a bit neater, it seems silly to fit dirty parts

Also included a picture showing the size difference to the GT pulley that is still fitted in case anybody was wondering.
Big thanks to james Rainey for sending me it for the price of postage thanks pal.

I've been refitting my front bumper after moving the intercooler forward only about 25mm but the bumper grill inside hits the cooler so I removed the bumper sanded some off the inside of bumper refit rinse and repeat for ages. Still not happy with it ffs.

I broke the ns mount for the cooler like a doosh so had to improvise a little. At least I managed to fit the campus pulley and belt so my pipe has more room.

I also purchased some red fabric paint a while ago for the carpet to just give it a new lease of life, I'm quite happy with the results to be honest but I will need at least another 2 cans to finish.

Another job was to silaflex the steering column boot to the body as the fitment was poor! I didn't get any pictures of this though.

I managed to paint the near side inner wing area where the air filter sits admittedly not mint but better than it was. image.webp
Also treated myself to a little good luck (I hope) charm with a little golden skull and yellow/black colouring trying to match the car. image.webp
I haven't forgot about the enclosure it's just I have been very busy and I need to get important things done before it goes for more welding.
Also helped another member out by dropping around the engine hoist and helping him remove his c1j.image.webp

Some time on the drivers footwell allowed me to fit all the dynamat up to the rail for the front seat mount also fitted the dynaliner over this.

I was changing my spark plugs even though I had been putting it off and found the plugs weren't to bad but 2 of the HT leads had suffered from some light corrosion which won't have been helping my odd miss fire issues. Also removed dizzy and rotor arm and the metal striker plate just fell of my dizzy in my hand!! And the dizzy cap was looking tired so I have ordered new rotor and cap for now as I have cleaned the HT leads up with emery cloth wire wool etc to remove the corrosion build up. I also have the contact points of the leads a good soak in electrical contact cleaner which helps repel and dissipate any moisture.

Anyway that's it for now I suppose few more pictures of the bay. image.webpimage.webp

Rolled her out of the garage for a clean as the dust was bad! A quick blast with the new (hand me down) karcher pressure washer also jacked up the to do the inner arches, and some of the underside.
All tucked away now ready for more work to be done.....

Well the 90 dizzy I ordered was wrong so thanks eBay with your "tell us about your car" feature that supposedly only shows items that will fit. I dug the old one out and gave it a blast with some colour.
