Gordini atmo wiring

Has anyone got an understandable wiring diagram for a 80 gordini. The haynes manual and renault manual are indecipherable. I need help especially around alternater, distributor, coil area. I have extra wires that I need to elimate that some **** has added for an alarm.
thanks

As it is an atmo surely the wiring would be the same as a tl or any other non turbo model.Apart from oil pressure and battery guages. If so I currently have an empty tl engine bay with all unfettled wiring in place.

I used the Haynes manual for quite a long time, it should help you to work out whats not suppose to be there.

The trouble I have is that there are acouple of extra wires added by one of the 13 previous owners, and that the grey wires with round circular blade connections could go on either side of the coil and in various configurations on the alternator.I dont want to melt what I have got. I also have a few issues with the relays around the battery area. I can cope with lights, guages, fan, oil, water etc by deduction and a meter I think.

You may find that the extra wires are to immobilise the car by disconnecting the coil from the ignition circuit.

By disconnecting the wires you don't think should be there I would presume that the worst that could happen is that the car won't start.

Don't know of the individual circumstances tho'!

And can't be held responsible!

Just to add..My haynes manual only has Gordini 1981 onwards, using this as the closest I have got the car running .However there are still some Renault wires left over. The wiring diagram dosent have a cigarette lighter or a distributor on it! Has anyone got an older Haynes with a 80 car wiring diagram in it?
