Front wing :(

Returned from the shops this evening to discover that some idiot had caught the front wing of my Phase 2 whilst trying to park and did a runner......
Luckily, I was parked outside a bar and there were witnesses who took down his details and waited inside for me to return! [smilie=yay.gif] Called the police and when they arrived they pointed out that it was also caught by one of those street safety (or whatever they're called) cameras!
Anyway, anyone have any idea how much a new wing is?

That's crap when someone do's that and runs.
I was lucky last month, I was in a hire car and a woman just backed into the side of me when I was parked, when I say I was lucky I mean that I was in a hire car and, WAIT FOR IT, it was a Policewoman and it was outside a shop with loads of witnesses. She owned up straight away so not a problem.

The Police called round to the lads house last night and he called me this morning to apologise and to let me know that he'd pay whatever it costs to fix. Turns out he's 18, only had his full license 3 weeks and was driving his mums car!
The Police gave me the option of whether I wanted to take it further or not and I said that as long as my car is fixed I'd be happy enough.

Ordered one from Charles Hurst(since I'm not paying) for £360 this morning but it'll be a week or so as they're on back order.
While I'm getting that sorted I've decided to get the side vents resprayed (out of my own pocket) as the silver paint is a bit worn on the front edge - does anyone know what the actual colour/paint code is?
Same goes for the wheels - i've decided against changing the colour but they still need to be sprayed so again a colour code would be very much appreciated!

I bet the lad is wishing out of all the cars he hadn't hit a Clio v6 lol, a normal cars wing would be about £100 :rofl:

Side pods are sprayed in titanium silver, someone will be along with the paint code soon I'd imagine!

Not easy to exactly match OEM as the wheels are blackish with a thin veneer of silver.

Stephen (renaultalpine) had some insight into which silver paint might be used a achieve a similar effect to the OEM.

The chap that Scott at SG Motors uses for wheels is the probably the best I've seen to date, for both colour and quality of finish. They are not Titanium.

Finally got my new wing today and off to be painted tomorrow.

I always take my wheels to S G Motorsport He then sends them off and they look great when they come back and last for years.

I think the last time someone looked it was well in excess of £800!
