I’m honestly looking forward to the Monthlery trip in a couple of months, an catching up with the usual suspects there.
Hi all!
I write this whilst @Millie_Bee and I are sat at a beautiful Riverside seating area just by Kings Cross!
So met with Professor Tom Quick today and he told me that I was exactly where he thought I would be at this stage, still no real feeling or movement; or any muscle control of my arm. Just stiffness of my fingers and joints.
Tells me that I just need to keep STRETCHING everything to keep my muscles supple.
He still VERY confident that I’m going to get full use of my arm back but told me that again it’s just gonna take time..
something those who know me, know it’s not one of my strongest points…

Still think you’ll be using your arm quicker than I’ll have any progress on project 5low…..
I was dangerously close to actually doing something the other day as well but didn’t want to rush it

- 15 months now since the accident
- 12 months now since the surgery
- Still no movement in my arm
- Had a recent meeting with my new consultant and they did another nerve conduction study
- ZERO response from my bicep
- Suspected flicker in my shoulder, but I don’t feel anything different
- The more that time passes, the more I just see my right arm as a buggerance now and seriously tempted to just get it cut off.
- Surgeon will cut it off but wants to see me again in March 25.
- Renault passion at an all time low.
- Still wondering to thin the Herd.

Fully get it and a proper tough one Steve, chin up amigo.
Have they given an indication of recovery time to get from flicker to able to hopefully give the whole thing the middle digit? Prospect of removal option bit grim, really hope no need for this
However try to stay focused on all the positive in your life and what you can do rather than what you cant atm

Don’t make any decisions yet. The cars owe you nothing so go with the flow

It’s just not known @Duncan Grier , they don’t know if anything is going to come back, we’re all at the behest of if the transferred nerves can grow into my bicep?
They just keep saying it takes time, but they also cannot confirm I WILL get something back..?
It’s hard for me to describe just how heavy & obstructive a non responsive arm feels chaps…

Thanks for the update Steve, I’ve been struggling to find the time and motivation to post lately. I figured it was a year round from your surgery and wondered how you were doing.
I’ve had days were I’ve wanted to have my fingers cut off as they just get in the way/painful/don’t work properly, that’s not even the ones I took a saw to! I get by with what I’ve got though but couldn’t imagine having to deal with a whole arm and the mental drain of what ifs.
Did you ever find out what actually happened in the accident? Have the police sorted things yet ?
