5 GT Turbo Fluffy

Karlos Fandango is the filter whore.

\Karl - do an oil filter topic chap and show your collection.
It would be interesting for the others to see and compare those filters you have.
Or if you like bring em round in the Red at some point and I'll take some photo's and do one.

Hi, I'm nick. :punish.gif:

Someone say carrots? :offtopic.gif:
Hahaaa - Tricky Nicky AKA TNT Nick.

Righty - I've had a bit of trouble with the LC-1, but I've done a heater and free air calibration and it seems ok if I start the car before the heater circuit is left standing too long. So should be ok to get some basic mapping done to get me by. Everything is back together and I just need to read up about mapping on the Tab using the ShellDude app. Initially the map is looking a bit rich , but it's better rich than the other way LOL.

I'll probably get out tomorrow for some off boost mapping.

Right - Ang is 4 weeks from giving birth, and Fluffy is back on the road again and basically unmapped. So for the time being, I'm going to be remapping myself until I can see when I'm going to be able to get back to Scoffs for a remap. I'm going to let my ecu sort out the fuel and I'm going to listen for detonation useing the feature on the ecu. The Fuel should be relatively straight forward, but the ignition timing will simply be a case of listening for det' at any given situation and thenknocking some timing out so it doesn't knock. I know this isn't the best way to tune timing, but right now, this is the only option for me. I'll report back once I get some time on it.

But don't hold your breath LOL

I know, it's come round too quickly lol. Now to readdress the car/work/life balance lol. It can all fit. I've got one life, I'm gonna full it with as much more great stuff as I can.

And thats just Fluffy! Nah kids are amazing, wouldnt change my little'un for the world just makes things abit more of a challenge however still possible. You'll make a great dad Andy :)

...and additionally a screaming puking sleep deprivation machine, that will suck out every ounce of your will to live until you learn how to please it :)
Dave - I assume you found it a massive challenge? I'm always up for that, and I usally great it with a smile and a spring in my step. Now I know what you're thinking, and yes, you can quote me in a couple of months, and I think I'll say it's hard work, but possibly the most rewarding thing I've done. Apart from Fluffy obviously. This is a car thing after all. Now back on topic, my life has already been sucked into baby world in every other area - this is my escape. I hope to get on with getting my 16mm wheel spacers on the front tomorrow as there is a little scuffage on full lock due to the profile of the Nangkangs, and cleaning up the sump and giving it a fresh lick of paint. After that it's get out and map the off boost stuff and keep my ears open for det. Setting up the Adaptronic for the knock level seems difficult on the c1j due to it's horendous rattley nature.

If you don't find it a challenge, you're not doing the job right (IMO).
Don't get me wrong, being a parent is a fantastic, wonderful and fulfilling experience. I wouldn't change it, but at times at the start you wonder what the hell you have done to your life. I used the very rare moments snatched on the car as an escape too, also, with virtually zero money to do anything with.
It'll be both the best, and worst experience of your life over the next year! It gets better as time goes on too, as they grow and develop, as you shed the pains of sterilising, nappy changing (You will not BELIEVE how much money goes on nappies and wipes), dragging baby/travel system/change bags and all manner of stuff out to the car for every journey...as all that fades away it gets better and better. My two are 7 and 9 now and they are an absolute hoot. Water pistols, NERF guns, Water Slides at the swimming baths, soft play areas (and MILF's), cartoons (spongebob squarepants is sublime insanity), filling your mouth with squirty cream, playstation, R/C cars.... i'm a kid again.

My boy turns 8 this year, which means we can go Go-Karting :D

Lol, I think you've got all bases covered there Dave. I totally hear you.

Hahaaaaa - you beat me to it Nick - and thanks for the comment. I'll just need to be organised haha - I'm fooked.

I think the baby affect is already kicking in, that's the second time you've mistaken someone else for me!

It's a game changer for sure, I sometimes feel I left it a bit late and too old to keep up with the little chap. Shouldn't worry though Andy, a sprightly young fella with a spring in his step like yourself should do just great :friends.gif:

Spacers fitted last night to allow for the minor scuffing from the Nangkangs, and painted the sump as this one is a bit rusty.
