5 GT Turbo Fluffy

Many times I have lifted a lump out without a crane...too old for that shit now lol. If you ever need a nice shiny hydraulic crane to borrow mate gimme a call (although the 'lil C1J's are fairly light). I have a stand as well you can use, if you can be arsed to collect and return (and i'm not using it).

Crazy midget ................ What you talking about willis?

On the tea front I'm ashamed to say you call yourself a tradesman, I waited an hour at least at one point nearly stated to perform the dying fly laying on my back :grin.gif:

Glad I could be of some help and I have to say was a reeeeet blast ripping the old thing out , you know I like the angry stuff the best . Hope we can sort her quick snap and get you back on the road again

Epic destruction. If the cam has survived whack it in the new lump
Standard cam staying in that lump for now Jon - there are a few plans for the future, but for now, I just want to get back on the road pretty quickly, I'm only on the T25 for now, so won't see the benefits of the CatCam with that. I can either go F-Lump or rebuild the original C1J with a better flowing head.

I have a crane thanks Dave - I'll be using it to out the lump back in, and if I was on my own I would have used it to pull the lump out. And thanks for the offer, I have a friend locally who has offered an engine stand for the rebuild. it won't be for a while.

Won't take too long chap - I've found a few older T25 map's also as a starting point until we can head north for the mapping weekend lol.

Small bit of progress........

Got al the bits of the original engine onto the new donner engine and moved the original engine into storage.

Also looked at the drive shaft problem, the outer has gone fubar, luckily I have a spare which is now at home on Fluffy. I also have found a couple of either 9 or 11 drive shafts brand new in boxes for some reason which I forgot I had, ufortunatly they are too long.

Also, after posting on the TR Facebook page I have got some great information regarding my alternator regulator - thanks to those who commented on that.

so - I'll start getting the manifolds back onto the new engine and slip her back in ASAP.

Not so easy now I'm back on DIY duties and a wee nipper just around the corner.

Won't take too long Andy just need another night together on it . I'll try and clear some space and we will make a night of it but you better be quicker on the T this time :grin.gif:

Good to her Andy, fluffy will be running again before you know it. Will have to step up the hunt for a new pair of driveshafts for my 5 to get them done this year as they have not been right for a while now. :-)

We might both be in luck Dr Dave ;)
Oddly I was out in my 9 today, and I found a brand new passenger side shaft in the back just sat there behind the drivers seat. I have no recollection of it whatsoever. I have no idea how it got there. I have no idea where it came from.

Very strange.

I would snap up a drivers side though thats for damn sure.
