5 GT Turbo Fluffy

Ah handy to have. I have a brand new genuine driveshaft in Renault box in boot of my 11 turbo, cant remember what side it is though lol need to visit the 11 soon when I get chance.

Well the temp engine is ready to go in, should be able to slip her in tomorrow night all being well. Then it's just a case of connecting everything up and away we go. I'll have to do a bit of rough mapping to get myself mobile until I can get to scoff's but that's going to be a while off as yet.

Fluffy update!!

Spare engine and Turbo in and all plumbed up. Everything done, just need to get some oil tomorrow, fill oil, coolant and check sensors and timing then see if she fires and runs ok.
Fingers crossed for that then

Well that was interesting!

I decided to put the fuel and ignition maps from my old T25 set-up onto the ecu as I'm now running the old T25. There will be a bit of a difference as this head doesn't look as though it has been worked and I'm not entirely sure what cam is in there. But what was interesting is that I thought I would check a few fundamentals and found that the timing was 12-14 degrees different from the other engine. This can only mean that the machining on the crank end was that much different from one in Fluffy engine 1. That was an easy fix.

What isn't an easy fix is that my Innovative wideband sensor has spat it's dummy out, just when I need it - what a cock.

I had nothing but trouble with my wideband - I'm not sure if my occasionally smokey turbo used to kill sensors, or if I had a bad batch?
