5 GT Turbo F4Rt - hopefully the correct decision

i didnt have an issue on my last supercharged or turbo f4r. once clipped in they usually have to be broken to remove as the retaining clips end up in the manifold

Does it not want a bolt in type IAT or a retaining clip / bracket to stop ot being blown out with manifold pressure.

Looking like a great install tho i like the external wastegate thats part of the turbine housing, very neat.

You would think so but apparently not.

You would have thought so but no doesn't pop out or leak any boost I run over 420bhp with mine and no issue's

I’ve bought some of this today to wrap a short amount of my loom as it’s a little too close to wastegate/manifold for my liking. The manufacturer claims it’s good to 500c so should do the job. I may have to do the same with my turbo oil return too as that runs quite close to hot bits too.

@bloke - I've read a few of your responses on Clio forum. Do you have access or can you help me with CPS/TDC wiring? I think from Googling around I have found that ECU Pin out 24 & 54 are for TDC - 24 is marked as "signal" on standard ECU. Obviously I am running standalone Adaptronic 420d.

Chris @ EFI says the polarity of the wires is important for correct running - the new TDC sensor I have is yellow & pink wire - Electrical & Engine Sensors: Timing (Crank Angle) Sensor with plug (Modification)

Any idea which wire way round this needs to be wired? The standard loom I have from Adey in the garage shows yellow & white wire for TDC.

Apologies if I have confused the fuck out of the above, I am good at doing that. ;-)

Wiring is being completed tonight with any luck so that’s one more job ticked off the list.

I took the bonnet over to Matty Clements brother Anil yesterday for paint. Good to see him doing so well and was good getting a little peak at Matty’s ever growing fleet of Renaults.

I’ve arranged with Matt Rowley to take the car to his on 22nd Sept so he can make amendments to down pipe and finish the full exhaust. The plan is 3” full system but if we struggle with clearance I have no issue going back to a side exit.

Sometimes really silly little things satisfy me like having the correct threaded fitting for my AEM oil temp gauge into sump.

Waiting on magnetic sump plug to arrive as the previous one I bought was incorrect thread/pitch. I can then fill with oil.

Also waiting on coolant hoses to arrive from Gary Spooner, I’m going to need to chop/change/merge to get the coolant system plumbed up and working as it should. @James5 sent me a true masterpiece of a diagram.

Had to send the alternator adjuster back to be amended to suit, should have that back this week too with any luck.

Tensioner is back and the corrrect length, fitment is good enough and will do it’s job im sure. Only issue is the belt is too slack even at the highest tension I can get so going to need to try a smaller belt. Going to try and 4PK833 as local chap has one in stock, failing that I’ll need to look at 835/838.
