An unfortunate consumable for us Vee owners.

I'd be up for a spare (or two). Anyone else....?

It may be possible to get a discount or at least we could order some and bring them to a meet thus saving P&P. Prob order Pug ones as they are cheaper and work as well if not better.

I would be interested in a couple if theres a bit of a discount ;) Are the Ph1 and Ph2 coils the same?

I have 1 spare but I know all about sods law, and there's always the ability to lend one out should anyone have bad luck at a club meet etc. ;)

We are negotiating prices at the moment.

Dont expect massive savings on a item ~£20 tho. ;)

But there will be savings or there would be no point.

How about we put you down for a couple assuming we can knock "something worthwhile" off the price.

Don't worry this is not legally binding. With numbers we can get firm prices.

I like the idea peter, but if the coils are with you and have to get them from a meet then not really worth it for me as i dont get to many meets.

I pay around £25 from GFS

I fully understand. With postage and VAT added savings on 10 coils are minimal. But we are still trying. And without postage there is a few quid to be saved at the larger meets.

Maybe we could get a batch in for FCS and for Kimbolton?

I'll keep you posted. Discussions are continuing with suppliers.

I wish I could afford to do the whole trophy coils change over, since I fitted the more up to date coils, not one of them have broken down. (but there's always a niggling doubt)

Even from Migny Courses - Coils, it's the job of drilling and tapping the engine, and changing over the connectors to suit. Half a days work in labour also to go on top.

If Migny do supply these for about £30 all in, you might still be able to get them fitted for around £400. Even less if you're skilled enough to DIY.

Re buying in bulk prices. It's not looking very worthwhile even for a larger order. I'm finding suppliers simply don't have enough discount flexability with these items. A lot of effort to save people about £3.00 :(

OK so due to postage costs this will go ahead as follows:

We will as far as possible (numbers dependant) purchase 2 sets of coils and they will be available @ FCS and Kimbolton. James will take the coils to Kimbolton I will do FCS.

Please note below if you are still interested and where you would like to pickup the coils.

Peter255 2 FCS
Waynemex 2
famersclio 2
James 2 Kimbolton
Dan P 2
looch 2

Apologies if this is not good for people but otherwise its not worth peoples time to save a few pence.

Cheers

Unfortunately I'm in a similar position and would be looking to get a pair fairly quickly. Appologies if this causes any problems.
