Continued pulling the timing side of the engine apart:

Belt and lower timing cover off:
Then crank drive pulley:

Still looking grease-tastic under there:

Then whipped off the crank cover:

ALL of the seals are leaking, so I’m going to get them changed.

That work started with a liberal application of degreaser and brake clean :

Made things look better:

Now waiting for a HEAP of parts to turn up..

Started work on the Engine Refresh today, replacing the Oil Seals on the Camshafts and Auxiliary Drive, before making a start on replacing the connecting rod big-end bearings with ACL Race Series versions, coupled with ARP Rod bolts:

It’s the first time I’ve ever done this myself alone as well, but it’s just mechanical nuts & bolts etc, so quite easy once you convince yourself you can do it..

Here to it all starting up and not knocking like hell when it’s all back together

I checked that , but sure he broke it up , guy from Staffordshire some where, had a works chip in the ecu apparently , loads of bits and pieces missing Should of kept it but hey , if ! the biggest word in the dictionary
