Yes can see all the pro's and con's, and a balancing box makes sense, but they were only used as they retained the original pump jets, but my intention is to convert to efi, after this mad moment I went to the race retro show and Northampton Motorsport had a stand there with webers converted to efi on show, amazing job, they wouldn't divulge the particulars but they were using a very small bosh injector machined into the Venturi, even retaining the original fuel pipes, you had to really look for the coversion, but at a cost of £750 per carb. Although they hadn't converted to turbo they couldn't see a problem with the conversion as long as the units are sealed. My original thought was due to the long s bend on the manifold to place the injectors on the underside near the head, not in the carb itself, but having seen the top job Northampton had done I may change, or even purchased carbs and ask them for a cost to convert my own carbs.
