I'm liking the route you've taken with this. I like t2's and I wouldn't be bothered about having a non original made one, but this saves on time/cost yet creates something unique.
I think the Gtt carb conversion would be easier and cheaper than the webber, although efi would be a really nice modern twist too.

Thanks Haz, yes i did look at the GT T carb and being honest it would probably produce more than enough power for I am going to be looking for, far chaeaper and far easier to convert regulate itself, but I am drawn to the twin 45 weber conversion to efi and turbo!

Just think it would add to the overall project and just finish it off

cheers mate

twin 45s would be cool but i wouldnt blow boost through them, but jenvey offer an itb that replaces them so you can go full efi.

The weber 45's will be machined and sealed to act as throttle bodies, only using the butterfly to control air passage, although Delortos will take a boost (apparently) without any modification

T.V.R. put their webbers it pressureises boxes on the turbo charged engines.
If turbo went you just took of the top of the box and the car ran normaly asperated.

I'm still thinking there there are similar efforts/costs to do either. Proper efi will cost more but would be less experimental for getting it nicely set up.
They are simple cars so why over complicate the engine bay.
Single tb into plenum with injector boss's on the runners, turbo operates traditionally on a dini manifold but a more modern t3 turbo?

The reason TVR put the webber in a box was that they could cope with a blow through
thus the whole carb had to run at the same pressure, at least that is what remember from 30 plus years ago,
THe car was a turbo charged V6 3000M TASMAN 2.8L ford cologne block.
I remenber goint to north wales in it and it just blow away
an RS2000 that had had a few mods. I think I was off to watch the Lombard RAC rally.

Yes can see all the pro's and con's, and a balancing box makes sense, but they were only used as they retained the original pump jets, but my intention is to convert to efi, after this mad moment I went to the race retro show and Northampton Motorsport had a stand there with webers converted to efi on show, amazing job, they wouldn't divulge the particulars but they were using a very small bosh injector machined into the Venturi, even retaining the original fuel pipes, you had to really look for the coversion, but at a cost of £750 per carb. Although they hadn't converted to turbo they couldn't see a problem with the conversion as long as the units are sealed. My original thought was due to the long s bend on the manifold to place the injectors on the underside near the head, not in the carb itself, but having seen the top job Northampton had done I may change, or even purchased carbs and ask them for a cost to convert my own carbs.

image.webp Yes , quite rare and don't come up for sale very often, so when it cam up for sale I bought it, it is complete, but in need of restoration. This isn't mine but this is the car, I have also purchased a 3.2 v6 lump for it, out of a Capri savage

I do like the look of them.
I had a friend who lives may still do in the Stockport area who had one in need of renovation.
He was also intp landrovers.

IMAG0050.webp IMAG0053.webp IMAG0052.webp Grey 614 period colour on the Turbo 1's and 2;s been painted on the underside and the arches etc. The period colour is a base colour so this has been mixed with laquer to give that 2k finish and prevent this area having to be laquered
The colour is metallic but doesnt look like it in the pictures, wasnt sure about the colour and feel a nicer gunmetal grey would have been better, but this is a period colour so will run with it
