Alpine A310 3.0L turbo and ECU Megasquirt

Hello everbody ! :super
I’m French so I’m sorry for my English :pray
I’m engineer student and I work at PanisBarthez Competition on the prototypes LMP3 and LMP2. So I do that after my work :)
I rebuild one Alpine A310 V6 1978 with pack GT and I graft a new engine V6 3.0L with Garrett GT2871R and ECU Megasquirt MS3-PRO.
I think keeping my stock gearbox 4 gears but I changed a clutchshaft with 21 splines. But I don’t know what to put as a clutch …
For the ECU Megasquirt, I research a Injection and Ignition map that provide a Alpine A610 for base me. So if someone has it … :D
For information : The engine stock removed and kept if I want to return at orginal car :D

I'm afraid it will be hard to find a standard ignition map to be honest.

Nevertheless good luck with the project and keep us updated!
 
Hello Ray, interesting project. Have 3 GTAs all interestingly non-standard. Guy on here Andrew Berridge has an A610 he is currently putting a mega squirt on so sure he will be able to help. Think his forum name is R5Gordini. Have basically an A610 lump in one of my GTAs (actually Safrane Biturbo/A610/GTA turbo hybrid) but I run Adaptronic ECU

Ignition map will be very similar, you can screenshot the ignition curve and 3D grid in the WARI client. It's just numbers/degrees after all.

Tony Smith you have a good eyes :P The 610 engine is untraceable so I have built a engine with 3.0L Atmo Safrane and 2.5L R25 V6 Turbo.
I made to measure a head gasket for reduce my volumetric ratio and I made to resize my camshafts with the same characteristics A610.
The 2.5L Turbo was used for all accessory.

I can't access my maps at present unfortunately. My remote hard drive I store it on has developed a problem and isn't viewable by either mine or the missus computer and I don't have a lap top anymore I can plug in to the ecu in the car. Soon as the new turbo and oil breather system is on it will be going up to EFi parts for a map tweek and I'll be able to let you have a copy
 
Does the computer recognise something has been connected, or do you get nothing at all?
Sometimes it sees it sometimes it doesn't . When it does see it if you try and open the drive it thinks about it but never actually opens. Frustrating as I have a lot of historical stuff I don't want to lose.

The man who works without backups is a fool! :)

If you want to send it me I have some good recovery software that will read off a drive with no file structures or anything, basically if it spins, I can read it (usually). Be warned though I can see everything on the drive thats recovered... last one I did I ran the recovery at work and it retrieved some...er...questionable images. Turns out the teenage son had been secreting naughty pictures away on his mums laptop HDD before it went for a burton!
 
Hi Ray - very nice project! I am excited to see you on here as I've been feeling a that I am forging ahead on my own with my project where no-one has been before... However, the support on this forum has been amazing!

I have guessed at the initial ignition map. The fuel map may be different from yours too. I have quite large injectors - what are you using?
I'll take a proper look at your maps and compare them with mine later on. I'm currently working through a number of things, reinstalling all the bits I took off. Just been frustrated by the aux water pump not working. It was a pig to remove, but is now working again. Just need to refit it!

I have had a look - your map looks remarkably similar to mine! I'll be getting mine roadworthy soon, I hope, and will let AutoTune loose on the VE cells. Then my plan is to take it for mapping for the on boost stuff/WOT, etc.

I'm interested to know:
  1. What injectors are you using? I'm using Siemens Deka 630cc - I've heard very good things about them
  2. What trigger wheel are you using?
  3. What boost solenoid are you using?
  4. What idle air control valve are you using?
  5. What O2 sensor are you using?
  6. Knock detection?
  7. Anything else custom?
  8. Did you get your rev counter working? Mine is working with a simple transistor circuit
  9. Did you have to build any circuits into your MegaSquirt yourself?

Hello everybody !! :D

Sorry for my answer late but I was a travel in Italy.

So this my configuration :
1. Injector high impedance BOSCH 0280155766 ==> 373cc
2. Trigger wheel stock for V6 PRV (66-2-2-2) and I use a trigger wheel on my cam shaft for know the compression on my cylinder 1
3. I don't use boost solenoid for the moment, I use a mechanical waste gate (1bar)
4. I control my rpm idle with PWM Bosch 3 wires
5. I use a Lambda WideBand for Innovate Motorsport
6. I use two knock sensors same stock engine (one knock sensor per three cylinder)
7. No it's all :)
8. I don't have a problem with my rev counter because I use a MS3-PRO.
9. No no because the MS3-PRO was shipping completely assembly.

I have a little problem for manage my rpm idle

R5Gordini ==> I would like to know how you make a ignition map ?
