alloy sump

apparently there is a way of gettin the sump off of a 19 16v phase2' without removing the engine
all the bolts are out and the gearbox studs are of????????
bastard thing still wont come of. anyone else had the same problems.....:twisted:

i did the same thing on my clio, allthough the 19 is different in the engine mounts. i had to lift the engine about 3 inches for it to drop enough to clear the oil strainer and oil level senser. don't know if that will help mate.

remove all the torx bolts. remove the bolts to the gearbox. lift it off, be careful you don't knock the oil pump etc inside.

will need a good tap to release it
