Twingo Adey's Twingo GT (F4R+T 2.0ltr engine swap)

bigger..... its plenty big enough 😆 i monitor inlet temps and have never had an issue, will do the same again once mapped

But even lower temps means more power lol.
What size intercooler is it you running atm?
ill measure when im out there next. On hard pulls i generally see about 4 to 5 degrees above ambient, if its negative ive seen sub 0 intake temps
Has anyone been to the limit with Meg 250 internals?? I bet you’ll be close won’t you?
not sure tbh, ive seen a few at 360+ my turbo is out of puff by 320/330 ish i think.

Decat fitted today, i did some reading and even asked the question of how to do it as the internet chatter said it was a crap job with driveshafts having to come out. Not sure what the fuss was about tbh, was a peice of piss even on my back under the car on axle stands. Anyway old cat off with its 40mm pipe work and the 50mm decat pipe back on. Noise has jumped a little but not too much whilst going around the block, hopefully it wont be too droney on the commute. Heat shield back on and to look at you wouldnt even know it was on there.
I know it has been a long time since this forum was posted but i am having some trouble with decatting my Clio TCE. I am looking just to bash the cat out atm as my decat is coming from France. Can i do this just by unbolting the bottom and bashing it out that way to then clear it out by revving? works in my head but don't know whether or not it'll f**k something up! thanks

I think you are severely underestimating the effort needed to get one out. It needs to be off the car.

Love this project @Adey and what you are capable of knocking together!

Can you please give me a quick explanation of what you've machined differently on the 172 Cams to fit the Megane engine? Will the new build have VVT???
Agreed @Adey has had some rate good cars… before I got mine a read through his old thread of his campus gt turbo on the retrorides forum. I was gunna go C1J on mine but I’m more of a N/A guy so went F4R instead

thanks matey. in short no these mods were done to the cam as i dont have vvt. VVT would require a 197 or 250 head conversion and a new ecu to control it.

I've reworked the end of the 172 camshaft to remove the oil pathways used for vvt control and redirect them in a different path to keep lubrication to the end of the head. I hope it'll work 😆
