First modification since its return. Megane 250 RS Steering wheel. A little fettling is needed for it to fit but its a much nicer wheel and feel. There's a spacer behind the wheel and on the top of the column, the cowling has been rubbed back a little some tabs added to cancel the indicators and rotate the squib. Nice mod really, i will sort the cruise control soon so i can then use the buttons on the wheel too.
Yeah its good to be back in it. Long story but the short version, the chap who i sold it too messaged me one eve offering it me back, a deal was struck with the audi i replaced it with and 2 days later it was delivered to my house. Needs a little tidy up but just from general use, came back with all the extra bits i had too so will probably attempt to do a few more modifications i didnt finish.
Cruise control
Rear disk conversion
new clutch
big turbo, pressure regulator and a bigger pump.
possibly some 172 hubs so i can run 172/brembo setup.
I had a little play with @Jezer101 in his mildly modified 172 whilst in mexico. In a straight line theres not much in it but the 172 is a bit quicker, especially when above 100. I think and he can correct me if i am wrong but his has a mapped ecu, 182 manifold and decat in place so probably has the full 172 bhp
So i will now look at getting the bigger turbo bits ordered so i can work on getting it fitted up purely as most of it is here. Im still thinking about sending a standard turbo out for a quotation on making it a hybrid but with the size of it id still expect it to deliver boost low down rather than higher up in the revs where i want it, any suggestions?
