Clio Adeys Clio 182 with added F4R+t content

rear light contacts cleaned, wiring block stripped and cleaned and no more flashing side lights with the indicators. tried every light possible at the same time to see if there was any flickering and all seems good. also gave the hazard switch a quick blast with contact cleaner and all seems well so hopefully itll get them bits checked in the morning and an mot issued.

A pass is a pass mate id be happy enough with a few advisories. I have the same issue with hazard switch with the dci, plays up good bang and it works every time after. Leave it a few weeks and repeat lol ive just left it

Standard for removing the stock steering wheel is the illumination of the air bag warning light. Easily solved with a couple of resistors. Its not the sabelt wheel i would of liked but the omp will do as a temp replacement for the mould covered standard wheel.20180329_183459.webp

The car did its longest trip to date in my ownership when we went to the dyno day. Didnt let me down though i have gained a couple of easy fixes i hope. The wipers started grinding when in use? not good as it was raining all day lol, the temp gauge also dropped a bit on the way home cruising on the motorway. I m
managed to get the obd to android app running to find the car sitting at 74 degrees. Time for a new thermostat. Made good power i think for a stock car. 171bhp (y) 20180331_090724.webp20180331_092432.webp

A quick google does say the stat is common issue and a lower rev limit to go with it as the ecu thinks the car is too cold, looking back at the dyno sheet (though could be inaccurate) shows it limiting at 6600rpm so she might have a little more in her (y) Parts ordered just just need to collect and fit them along with some fresh coolant

from the technical documents

Maximum engine speeds:
– for a coolant temperature < 75°C: 6700 rpm.
– for a coolant temperature > 75°C in 1st or 3rd gear: 7250 rpm.
– for a coolant temperature > 75°C in 4th or 5th gear: 7000 rpm.

Decent power for stock. Stat will be weak and causing the cold limit, the meganes suffer from it causing early limiter the same. The temp gauge should be knacker on half way when fully warmed up.

Hopefully i can get some work done on the car soon, got the coilovers to fit still, cup alternator setup to fit and i still need to sort the thermostat out as when i do take it for a run its early limiting is doing my nut in. Ive also got a set of powerflex arb bushes that ill try and throw on at the same time as the front coilovers

Coilovers on but not driven it yet. Need to take it for a drive to settle everything but itll be upgrade to the old leaky stuff. They are AP Racing items that are effectively KW Varient 1s so im told. No real pics as of yet bit its a fair chunk lower and stiffer. The chap i got them from used them on a track clio and swapped out for AST's. Ive left them how they were set for now.

I needed some 50 profile tires..... enter some worn but ok stickys. Will get them fitted up and get the alignment done soon. The car will be entered back into daily service soon so need to get a few more things wrapped up and finished over the next week or so

So today i took a quick look at the alt setup. Lucky i did as i kinda lost the main securing bolt......... So i started removing it all to refit the cup alt setup. Easy enough to do just remove then refit and twist a few pipes to suit. And then i started pulling more bits off, out with the carbon canister and the acoustic valve whilst i was there. A little weight saving and free horsepower 😁
