The cheapo Chinese unit from the bay does a job but it is weak and is now the backup.
The quality between the two is huge as you can see from the pictures. The core is thicker, more dense & better flowing than the cheap item.

I could have got 2 or 3 cheap ones for the price of the pro alloy,
I sent Pro alloy a very bent item (Originaly from Benver) and they improved on the design and size, plus they added correct fan mounts & a bleed screw for the top part of the core.
The only mod I had to do is to trim off an unused bottom fan fixing as the thicker core brings them forward & they would have rubbed on the cross member.

Good feedback Rich, thanks for taking the time. There is obvious differences there, and quite rightly a case of "you get what you pay for". Whilst my chinese one is doing the job for now I will seriously consider an upgrade for the new lump!
